If a project proposal is approved, the applicant will receive a Donation Agreement setting out the arrangements relating to the donation. If a project proposal is rejected, the ORTEC Foundation will inform the applicant as soon as reasonably possible and provide an explanation for the rejection.

General
The ORTEC Foundation supports initiatives that aim to strengthen systems, improve decision-making and create positive societal impact through analytics, optimization and technology. It is not limited to specific sectors, themes, target groups or regions.
In addition to financial support, the ORTEC Foundation seeks to add value through analytical expertise and collaboration with partners such as academia, non-profit organizations and industry.
Criteria
Project proposals are assessed based on, among other things, the following criteria:
- Alignment with the mission of the ORTEC Foundation;
- The role of data, analytics or optimization in the proposed initiative;
- The expected impact;
- The feasibility, scalability and sustainability of the project;
- The governance and credibility of the organization involved;
- The alignment of the required donation with ORTEC Foundation’s budget;
- The responsible and effective use of financial resources;
- The monitoring and evaluation approach (what is being measured and how).
The ORTEC Foundation retains full discretion as to whether or not to grant an application.

Application for donations
The ORTEC Foundation works in a number of ways:
- The ORTEC Foundation proactively seeks out partners, social and charitable organizations, including social enterprises where appropriate, that initiate and/or fund projects or programs that are in line with the ORTEC Foundation’s vision and mission.
- The ORTEC Foundation also remains open to project proposals from external organizations whose initiatives align with the ORTEC Foundation’s mission.
- The ORTEC Foundation also welcomes suggestions from ORTEC employees who know of organizations or initiatives that could benefit from support of the ORTEC Foundation. Organizations may submit a project proposal by completing the application form and submitting other requested documentation via the “Submit” button.
Contacts for support
If an applicant believes that a project or program could benefit from the involvement of ORTEC employees, the applicant may contact contact@ortecfoundation.com
Any such support, including that of other third parties, must be agreed in advance. The applicant should describe the agreed support in the application, including the scope of work, expected time commitment and any associated costs, and include a written confirmation from the party involved.

During the execution of a project or program supported by the ORTEC Foundation, the Board considers it important to maintain regular contact with the partner organization, whether in person, by telephone or digitally.
At the end of each project, outcomes are evaluated against the original goals and expected impact. These insights help improve future initiatives and ensure responsible use of resources.
